Acceptable Use Policy
Effective Date: June 2, 2026 | Last Updated: June 2, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using SentiTel responsibly. It forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to all users. SentiTel is operated by Subtle Approach LLC.
1. Intended Purpose
SentiTel is designed to help individuals protect themselves from phone scams by providing AI-assisted scam detection for outbound calls and uploaded screenshots, photos, or files they choose to analyze.
The Service is for personal protective, informational, and educational use only. It is not a surveillance tool, law enforcement platform, emergency service, financial advisor, legal advisor, cybersecurity investigation service, or a means of intercepting calls or content you do not have the right to process.
2. What You May Do
- Place outbound calls and receive scam-risk analysis on calls you initiate.
- Review your personal call history, transcripts, and risk analysis.
- Upload screenshots, photos, or image files of suspicious messages, emails, websites, pop-ups, invoices, letters, or notifications for scam analysis.
- Use OCR/extracted text and AI scan analysis to better understand suspicious communications.
- Ask follow-up questions about a scan result.
- Share your own call or scan data with trusted parties, financial institutions, or law enforcement if you believe fraud occurred.
- Verify suspicious solicitations by independently contacting official company channels.
3. What You May Not Do
- Recording without consent: Do not use SentiTel to record, monitor, transcribe, or analyze calls in violation of consent, wiretapping, or privacy laws.
- Illegal interception: Do not use the Service to intercept calls, communications, screenshots, images, or files that you are not authorized to access or process.
- Harassment or stalking: Do not use the Service to monitor, harass, stalk, or surveil individuals.
- Impersonation: Do not impersonate law enforcement, government agencies, banks, businesses, SentiTel, Subtle Approach LLC, or other organizations.
- Automated abuse: Do not use bots, scripts, robocalling tools, scraping tools, or bulk automation.
- Harmful uploads: Do not upload illegal, abusive, exploitative, defamatory, threatening, or non-consensual content.
- Sensitive data misuse: Do not upload or enter highly sensitive information unless necessary for your own protective use.
- Reverse engineering: Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, extract, disable, or bypass SentiTel systems or security controls.
- Account sharing: Do not share your login credentials.
- Unlawful purposes: Do not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
4. Your Obligation to Act on Warnings
When SentiTel issues a scam warning or elevated risk alert, you should take it seriously. Pause or end the interaction, independently verify the caller, sender, website, invoice, or phone number through official channels, and refuse requests for payment, OTP codes, remote access, banking credentials, cryptocurrency, gift cards, or sensitive information until you verify legitimacy.
Ignoring a high-risk alert and proceeding with a transaction is done at your own risk.
5. Recording Consent and Upload Rights
Call recording, transcription, monitoring, and consent laws vary by jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with the laws that apply to your calls and uploads. You are also responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload any screenshot, photo, file, or other content submitted to the Service. SentiTel does not provide legal advice.
6. Beta Testing Conduct
If you are using a beta or TestFlight version, you agree to use it carefully, report issues accurately, and avoid using the beta in situations where an error, delay, or inaccurate result could cause serious harm. Beta access may be revoked at any time.
7. No Emergency Use
Do not use SentiTel for emergency calls, 911/E911 calls, urgent safety situations, medical emergencies, or situations requiring immediate assistance. Contact emergency services directly through a reliable phone service.
8. Enforcement
SentiTel may investigate suspected violations of this AUP and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate it, with or without prior notice. In cases involving illegal activity, SentiTel may cooperate with law enforcement authorities and disclose information as permitted or required by law.
